Felipe Rosales, 30 years old, was injured after the trailer he was driving overturned on the Mérida-Tetiz federal highway.

The driver of the heavy unit packed with thousands of kilos of chicken products from the Crío company was traveling at kilometer 8 when he fell asleep and lost control of the steering wheel around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26.

The unit transporting hundreds of boxes of tilefish left the road and ended up overturning on its right side inside the mountain and in a ravine.

Lipe managed to get out of the dilapidated cabin and requested backup, and emergency units arrived.

Likewise, paramedics assessed the driver who suffered several injuries and was then transferred to the IMSS Benito Juárez Hospital in Mérida for better medical care.

The place was cordoned off to avoid incidents and robbery, and it was also hazardous when approaching a curve while agents of the state corporation and the National Guard directed the traffic.
