From the port of Progreso, Yucatán, Xóchitl Gálvez, candidate for the presidency of the Republic for the Strength and Heart for Mexico alliance, promised to copy the Yucatan security model and apply it nationwide, so that people are not afraid to go out on the streets throughout the country.

The representative of the opposition held a rally in Parque Independencia, where she stressed that her objective is to Yucatanize the entire country.

“We need to replicate the security model of Yucatán, we are going to Yucatanize the entire country, we want all of Mexico to look like Yucatán in terms of public security,” Galvez declared before hundreds of supporters of the PRI-PAN-PRD, parties that gathered in Progreso on Monday, March 4th.

To achieve this, the presidential candidate said that she would copy the measures that are currently applied in the state, such as improving the salary of police officers, as well as offering them social security, housing credit and scholarships for their children and a better education.

“Mexico is going to have the bravest president, it is time for the criminals to be afraid and not the citizens.” Xochtil declared.

In addition, she expressed her support for Renán Barrera Concha, candidate for governor of Yucatán for PAN-PRI-Nueva Alianza.

“You are going to have the full support of the president,” she continued.

Among the PAN’s proposals was to improve urban infrastructure and return to the state government the resources used for the expansion of the Puerto de Altura de Progreso. He also assured that he would improve the education system and social support for the most vulnerable people.

During his participation, Renán Barrera stated that in Yucatán the government has been in charge of generating harmony among its inhabitants, without there being an individual or petty interest, and that his proposal is to create a government where unity prevails.

Barrera Concha highlighted that they have chosen to carry the Yucatan flag to remind Morena that they are not going to impose their ideologies like they’ve done in other parts of Mexico.

“Things in Yucatán are decided in Yucatán.” Renan Barrera stated.

Renan Barrera assured that Xóchitl Gálvez and he will walk towards the same goal, which is the progress of the people of Yucatán and the Maya communities.
