Candidates for the mayor of Mérida and the governorship of Yucatán sign the “Agenda 2050”

A “cool and brilliant” Mérida will be built together as a team with the signing of the “Agenda 2050” by Cecilia Patrón and Renán Barrera, candidates for mayor of Mérida and governor of Yucatán, respectively.

In her intervention, candidate Cecilia Patrón called to continue teaming up for Mérida as well as continue along the path of peace, security and closeness, planning long-term projects.

Among the proposals that she made known, the candidate highlighted the creation of the Women’s University so that they and their children can stay at school.

Likewise, she indicated that she will seek to reduce vehicular traffic, address mental health issues among the population, unify municipal procedures on a single platform, electric transport units, among others.

“It is about long-term planning, with constant renewal so that women continue to feel safe, we have basic services and that there are places to live with families,” said Cecilia Patrón.

She assured that the commitments they presented summarize the work that she will carry out together with the next governor of Yucatán and have as a formula for success serving people closely, listening to them and being empathetic to face the times that are to come.

At the “Henry Martín” Sports Unit, having as witnesses members of different sectors of society, Cecilia and Renán signed the “Agenda 2050” which contains 12 points that they will work together.

There is the road reengineering and mobility infrastructure program, the coordinated security strategy, the 360 service that includes a paving, repaving and patching program for neighborhoods and rural communities.

She also considers promoting the use of clean energy, increasing funds for microcredits that allow business creation, making Mérida the most tree-lined city in Mexico, providing attention to mental health and establishing a unified platform for government-related procedures.

Likewise, carry out intense international tourism and cultural promotion, as well as promote the development of women through the creation of children’s stays, returning full-time schools.

Finally, the document refers to the comprehensive fight against poverty by offering more and better services and to the generation of better job opportunities in the future, with support for young people in their first job, more discounts on transportation and the delivery of computers on credit for their studies.
