Federal Government expropriates 93 properties in Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo for the Maya Train

The land corresponds to sections 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7 of the Maya Train Project

The federal government published this Friday, April 5 in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) the declaration of cause of public utility related to 632 thousand 845.76 square meters of land, corresponding to 93 privately owned properties located in the states of Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo for the Mayan Train project.

The properties correspond to sections 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7. Five are in Escárcega, 15 in the municipality of Campeche, one in Hecelchakán, one in Champotón, and another in Calakmul, all in the state of Campeche.

In Yucatán, fifteen of these properties are in Chocholá, three in Mérida, eight in Umán, three in Kanasín, six in Tixpéhual, and three in Cacalchén.

While in Quintana Roo the properties are located in the municipalities of Solidaridad (seven), Tulum (one), Felipe Carrillo Puerto (six), and Othón P. Blanco (eighteen).

According to the DOF publication, the properties will be used for the construction of public infrastructure works related to the Maya Train Project.
