Mauricio Vila, governor of Yucatán, visited the Kanasín baseball park, the temporary new home of the Yucatán Lions in the 2024 Mexican Professional Baseball League season, due to the remodeling of Kukulcán Stadium.

Next week the Yucatan team will host the Tigres de Quintana Roo in this new venue, in the inaugural series of the Mexican Baseball League in the state.

The field was completely renovated, as well as the bathrooms, stands, locker rooms, screens, lighting, and other features required by the LMB to host professional baseball games.

It is worth mentioning that this baseball park will have the capacity for more than five thousand people, in addition to the fact that, subsequently, there will be the possibility of starting to organize leagues and championships throughout the year, in addition to opening up the possibility of an important seedbed of baseball players begins to be created, this in coordination with the board of the Yucatan Lions.

To guarantee the safety and integrity of families, the Ministry of Public Security will reinforce the area with road and surveillance operations so that people can go to the games without setbacks, and guarantee the peace and tranquility of the fans.

There will be nearly 500 parking spaces in areas near the park.

The start of the season was on April 12 in the city of León Guanajuato and playball will take place in Kanasín, on Tuesday, April 23rd, against the Tigres de Quintana Roo.

The regular season will have a total of 16 home series and 15 away series for a total of 93 games.
