Man drowns in Sinkehuel, Yucatan while swimming under the influence of alcohol

A man died by drowning in a lagoon at the Sinkehuel ranch on the Chunchucmil-Celestún highway section.

As mentioned by the police authority, three people began to drink alcohol and then decided to get into the water, where they began to compete in swimming, but when they reached the other end of the lagoon, they realized that one of them did not come out of the water.

After what happened they asked the authorities for help, when the SSP firefighters divers arrived, they were only able to rescue the lifeless body of the man who drowned in a matter if seconds.

State Police agents secured the place, while staff of the State Attorney General’s Office took charge of the corresponding procedures.
