A huge boa made Mrs. María, 41 years old, scream!
As she was preparing to wash clothes in her backyard when suddenly, she looked up at the ceiling of her laundry room and saw a huge ‘Ochkán’ wrapped around a beam.
The woman living on 70th Street in the Los Aguacates neighborhood in the municipality notified the Municipal Police base to ask for help. Shortly after, the local uniformed officers arrived and captured the snake.
The Municipal Police officers applied their knowledge and experience in these tasks and managed to capture the animal without causing any harm and then move it to its natural habitat (the forest near Tizimin), where the reptile can continue its life without frightening or causing any harm to the local population.
