Hannover, Germany, April 23, 2024.- Yucatán continues to show the world the work that is promoted in topics such as technology, industrial competitiveness and sustainable development, through the Mexican pavilion at the Hannover Messe Fair, in Germany.
The Yucatecan Governor, Mauricio Vila Dosal participated in the inauguration of this pavilion representing our state along with the Undersecretaries of Foreign Affairs María Teresa Mercado; of Industry and Commerce of the Ministry of Economy, Othón Valverde Yáñez; the president of the Mexican Association of Secretaries of Economic Development (Amsde), Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero; the ambassador of Mexico in Germany, Francisco Quiroga Fernández and the Governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González.
Hannover Messe is the world’s largest industrial fair, bringing together more than 130,000 people and more than 15,000 companies and exhibitors from all over the world. Through each edition it has become a space for technology, innovation, and manufacturing companies, which represent 70 percent of the participants, to find commercial allies that allow them to maintain their strength in the sector.
This year’s motto is “Energizing a sustainable industry.” The 2024 edition takes place with the participation of 130 thousand attendees from more than 40 countries; 14,000 products and solutions; more than one thousand exhibitors; 1,870 speakers and 300 startups.
In that sense, the Governor explained that the competitive advantages of the state are showcased to attract more investment and better jobs for Yucatecans.
“Today, the world is experiencing the phenomenon of nearshoring, in Yucatán what we are doing is building a new border with the east coast of the United States, which is promoting the construction of two thermoelectric plants, the expansion of the natural gas pipeline, among many other works that we are being developed hand in hand between the federal, state and municipal governments. Today we have been assisting companies that want to invest in Mexico, we are convincing them not to go to Indonesia or Vietnam, but to come to invest in Mexico and of course, in Yucatan,” he mentioned.
It should be noted that, through this fair, the local industry is also promoted, and the opportunity is provided to show the technological advances and capabilities that we have, in addition to the exchange of knowledge through the different conferences, presentations, and discussion panels that will be carried out in the Fair, which will allow us to be aware of the latest trends and developments in different areas, which can influence industrial development strategies for the state of Yucatán.
