AMLO criticizes report on Mexico’s performance in the Covid-19 pandemic
López Obrador attacked the report of the Independent Commission of Investigation on Covid-19 which indicates that Mexico had “a barely average performance in managing the health emergency.”
“That study, in quotes, was done in a way, to harm us, to demonstrate inefficiency in the government in such a sad case,” said the president during the morning of this Monday.
In addition to considering it “a vile act of politicking,” Amlo assures that he has a clear conscience, because “we work hard to save lives.”
In the aforementioned report, the Independent Commission accuses that “around 300 thousand deaths could have been avoided” if the country’s performance had been better.
