As part of the tourist attractions offered by the city of Mérida, authorities in the field are preparing a tour of the most emblematic cantinas to highlight this tradition.
José Luis Martínez Semerena, director of Economic Development and Tourism of the Mérida City Council, announced that this tour could begin to operate in the months after the end of the electoral period.
According to the municipal official, the route will include the most emblematic cantinas of the city, the spaces “where stories are forged, where agreements are reached and where history is written.”
Martínez Semerena commented that the details of this route will be given once the electoral period ends, that is, after June 2.
He reported that this initiative is part of the actions after Mérida was recognized as a Creative City in Gastronomy by UNESCO.
