New “Va y Ven” units arrive in Tizimín, Yucatán

Residents of Tizimín will soon have a quality public transportation service that lives up to what they deserve when 10 new and modern hybrid units of the “Va y Ven” Public Transportation System arrive in this city. These units are friendly to the environment, and will come into operation shortly to continue the transformation of mobility in our state.

With the entry into operation of the new transportation system in Tizimín, more than 5,500 users will benefit daily with a better option to get around town more comfortably.

These are hybrid Yutong units that were transported from Mérida to Tizimin, which combine a diesel-electric propulsion system, with a capacity for 70 people, 30 seats, and are also environmentally friendly, since they produce 400% less emissions of CO2 per year, which means the planting of 2,845 trees.

These units feature a low floor, bicycle rack, Braille system signage, podotactile floor, information screens, air conditioning, exclusive seats, Wifi, USB and USB type C connectors, turrets, and baskets for backpacks.

In addition to LED lighting announcements that indicate the route name, GPS equipment, security cameras, and electronic payment reader, which helps speed up the ascent process and prevents the operator from being distracted.

With the arrival of these units, Tizimín will soon join the municipalities of Valladolid, Umán, and Kanasín, where the inhabitants of the interior of the state already have a modern, efficient and comfortable public transportation service through the “Va y Ven” System. ”
