The Salbut Yucatán Fair 2024 will be held on Sunday, May 19 at the San Sebastián softball field. There will be several surprises and events for the whole family.
We know that Yucatán is one of the states of the Mexican Republic that offers various traditional and cultural events throughout the year to attend alone or with the whole family. For May, the second edition of the Salbut Fair will be held in the state capital. This gastronomic festival will bring the participation of different food exhibitors, chefs, and other representatives of the culinary art of Yucatan.
The inhabitants of Mérida know more than well this iconic space that is San Sebastián, the headquarters of this celebration of one of the best-known dishes of the Yucatecan peninsula scheduled for next Sunday, May 19 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
The park of this magical neighborhood includes the sports courts, the square with benches, and the fountain, and the iconic parish of San Sebastián. However, this salbut event will take place on the softball field, located on the corner of 70th and 72nd streets.
Lovers of this dish will be able to come to taste and learn about the different ways of preparing this typical food, from the classic turkey and black stuffing to those prepared with suckling pig, roasted with “queso de bola” (Dutch cheese), seasoned shrimp, among other delicious ingredients.
As if that were not enough, a real party is responsible for keeping all its guests entertained and that is what this edition was in charge of doing, as it will also have events for the kids such as the Children’s Puppet Show and other activities that are designed for the family, such as comedy shows, dance, music, and even a dog walk, in addition, selling crafts, snacks, and pastries.
