With the purpose of promoting the talent of young musicians, the Baroque Concert of the Chamber Orchestra of the Yucatán Youth Symphony Orchestra “José Luis Chan Sabido” will be held this Saturday, June 1, at 8 pm, in the Yucatecan Song Museum in the Mejorada neighborhood.

For the concert, themes by composers George Philipp Telemann, Georg Friedrich Händel, and Johan Sebastian Bach were chosen.

Before the concert, attendees will be offered information about the works and the composers, highlighting maestro José Luis Chan Sabido, director of the Orchestra.

Chan Sabido will be the violin soloist in Bach’s Violin Concerto in A minor, and Alejandra Lizzette López Gómez will be the flute soloist in the final part of the Telemann Overture.

The Yucatán Youth Symphony Orchestra “José Luis Chan Sabido” was created and supported by the company Niplito del Sureste; He has been giving free orchestral practice classes to young high school musicians at the Mayab House of Culture for two years.
