A 19-year-old man suffers cardiac arrest in Mérida market

The intervention of the paramedics of the Municipal Police of Mérida allowed Jose A.J.F., 19, to be revived from cardiac arrest.

This Tuesday, June 4, around 8:20 in the morning, agents of this corporation received a report that a person had fainted inside the “Lucas de Gálvez” market.

Police officers and paramedics from the Mérida Municipal Police went to the scene and detected that this person had suffered cardiac arrest.

The municipal paramedics immediately began to apply cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers. Paramedics from the Red Cross also showed up at the site in support, managing to rescue Jose A.J.F. from cardiac arrest, who was transferred with vital signs to a hospital for medical attention.
