A tanker ends up overturned on the Mérida-Valladolid Highway

One of the trucks that was being pulled by a tractor-trailer on the Mérida-Valladolid highway was left overturned. The tanker was loaded with thousands of liters of jet fuel, which is fuel for aircraft.

According to what was found, the accident occurred at kilometer 17 of that road, when the vehicle was carrying two trailers full of said fuel.

Suddenly, one of the tractor-trailer tires burst, which caused the operator to lose control of the steering wheel, causing the second trailer to come loose and overturn off the road surface.

There were no injuries, and the incident was recorded by SSP agents while firefighters monitored the situation and verified that there was no jet fuel leak. A traffic operation was applied while awaiting the arrival of a crane.
