Business Incubation program for women entrepreneurs to be applied in Merida

The vice president of the Mexican Association of Women Business Managers (AMMJE), Elisa Morales Rodríguez, announced the business incubation laboratory program that is already operating at the national level, which will soon be implemented in Yucatán and that focuses on providing training entrepreneurs and directing them to formality.

As is known, recently, the third Assembly of the organization took place in this city, which also served to carry out the “Women Making Money” (Mujeres haciendo dinero) Forum.

“We have implemented strategic programs that we know will generate well-being in our community and especially in the female sector. In this sense, AMMJE is establishing a program called Incubate your idea, from entrepreneur to businesswoman,” she expressed.

“What are we looking for with this strategy? To take by the hand the women who started out of necessity without the necessary training or training, and who today do not know the balance point of how many apples they have to sell per month to cover their expenses, if the final price of your cookie is correct, how to manage your business or how to implement marketing strategies in a digital market,” she added.

Morales Rodríguez highlighted that there are many issues that women should be aware of today, in addition to the fact that at this time in Mexico, 70 percent of informal businesses are headed by the female gender, that is, seven out of every 10.

“That is why it is important for us as the Association of Women Entrepreneurs to help them take that step and go into formality. This program consists of eight modules, in eight months of training, we started it in Sonora and there are already four generations, we have To date, 150 women have graduated, the majority already in formality, and not only that, but they have joined AMMJE and other business chambers,” she said.

“Concerned about serving the entrepreneurs here, Angélica Ledesma Arreola, state president, asked for support to implement it, it will be applied here in Mérida and not just for the members, the benefit of the incubation is for all women affiliated or not. to AMMJE,” she concluded.
