The Mano Canina shelter also suffered the effects of the heavy rain that fell on the afternoon of Monday, June 24, as the place suffered flooding in its areas newly enabled for dogs, many of them old.
Weeks after the area was created, administrators admitted they were unaware that the space could flood.
Mano Canina is supported by the community and works with its own resources without help from any institution. But today, they call for help from the people, to support them with donations of pallets, sheets, or whatever can be used to fill the space. They also ask for help to put on a concrete floor when the rainy season is over.
People interested in supporting this work in this emergency and other needs can call (999) 416 7125.
