Among the objectives of the current municipal administration is to convert the ideas of entrepreneurs into businesses that multiply family income and generate more jobs in Mérida and its police stations, said Mayor Alejandro Ruz Castro.
“We work to provide them with support, advice, and encouragement so that there are more and more consolidated projects,” he said.
On Wednesday, June 19, at the Municipal Center for Entrepreneurs (CME), located in the San Sebastián neighborhood, the mayor delivered 34 supports for brand registrations and 64 banking terminals, tools that contribute to the consolidation of the businesses of the beneficiaries, with guidance, advice, and support.
“This benefit for the entrepreneurs themselves is also a benefit for our Municipality because it allows the economy to be activated and promotes and stimulates the creation and innovation of business projects and ideas among the inhabitants,” he said.
Ruz Castro added that these supports include training for entrepreneurs, so that they become generators of sources of employment and, thereby, promote well-being opportunities for those who participate.
“In this administration we not only make investments to generate employment, but we also offer channels to support those who start new projects, providing them with the necessary tools so that they can excel and integrate into formal commerce,” he added.
Representing the entrepreneurs, Wilma Baeza González, beneficiary and owner of “BG Cosmética Natural”, recognized the efforts of the Mérida City Council to invest part of public resources in programs that support people who start businesses through micro, small, and medium businesses.
