Federal and state forces carried out a joint operation in three properties in Panabá, a municipality located in eastern Yucatán, where they seized natural and synthetic drugs.
Elements of the Army, Navy, National Guard, State Investigative Police (PEI) and Canine Unit (K-9) of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP), and the State Attorney General Office (FGE) carried out the operation, part of the fight permanent against drug dealing in the state.
The intervention of the authorities was due to anonymous citizen complaints to number 089, as well as investigations derived from previous operations and arrests. A judge ordered multiple searches based on the evidence data the FGE and the SSP provided.
The first property intervened is located on 11th by 14th Street, the second on 16th by 13th Street. The third is a ranch called San Damián located at kilometer 5.8 of the Panabá-Yalsihón highway. The authorities seized cannabis and methamphetamines in these properties.
