Starting at the first minute of this Tuesday, June 4, and after the electoral day of last Sunday, Mauricio Vila Dosal will resume his duties as Governor of the State, after he temporarily resigned from that position on May 7.
After giving the corresponding notice to the local Congress, Vila Dosal indicated that, as he had previously reported, he would return to his duties once the electoral day and the counting of votes was over, “so tomorrow Tuesday, June 4, first thing in the morning, I will be back in office as Governor.”
In this context, Mauricio Vila highlighted the work carried out by the lawyer María Fritz Sierra at the head of the State Government, as head of the Office, during the time that he was separated from the position and reiterated that the official is an honest person and one he fully trusts, “who knew how to lead our state with absolute professionalism and care in this period”
It must be remembered that, in the current electoral process, Mauricio Vila’s party offered him the possibility of being in the Senate of the Republic for the next 6 years, and due to a complaint received by the Electoral Court of the Judicial Branch of the Federation, it determined that Vila Dosal should separate from the position of Governor, which he did on May 7 and, as of the first minute of this Tuesday, he will return to his duties after the conclusion of the electoral day.
