The roof collpased under the weight of the water at a department store located at the Plaza Altabrisa shopping mall in Mérida.
The Yucatecan capital was under water after heavy rain fell, citizens decided to take shelter in their homes.
After almost two hours of intense rain, the city of Mérida was flooded. Through social networks, it was the citizens themselves who warned of the havoc and asked other people not to leave their homes.
In the Altabrisa shopping center north of the Yucatecan capital, part of the ceiling collapsed. Situation that was captured on video.
