To promote the development of productive projects and digital inclusion, the Government of the State of Yucatán, through the Yucatecan Institute of Entrepreneurs (IYEM), has implemented various initiatives to digitalize the economic units of the state.
In this context, an agreement was signed with the Yucatecan technology company, National Soft, which specializes in the digitalization of companies in the tertiary sector.
The IYEM has launched programs such as “Digitalize your Business” and “MicroYuc” to provide entrepreneurs, artisans, and micro and small businesses with digital tools, training, and advice. These programs aim to improve operational efficiency through digitalization.
Digitize your Business: This program has provided hardware, software, and training to entrepreneurs, generating more than 8 million pesos in income thanks to 13,422 transactions carried out through payment devices and electronic tablets.
MicroYuc Entrepreneurs and Green: Promotes the use of technology in small businesses by providing credits to acquire software, licenses, machinery, and technological equipment.
Antonio González Blanco, General Director of IYEM, highlighted that the administration has granted 878 loans, equivalent to 50,284 million pesos, to entrepreneurs and micro, small, and medium-sized businesses. 89% of these loans were allocated to the tertiary sector, underscoring the importance of digitalization in these businesses.
The Yucatán i6 Congress is one of the key events to connect entrepreneurs with the latest technological trends and good practices. At the event, companies such as SoftRestaurant, which offers digital management solutions for the hotel, restaurant, and cafeteria sectors, presented their innovations.
To continue these efforts, IYEM signed an agreement with National Soft, offering preferential prices and discounts through the MicroYuc Entrepreneurs program. This agreement includes advice on digitalization and products for the management and control of sales in restaurant businesses.
Santiago Estevez, CEO of National Soft, pointed out the importance of digitalization in the restaurant sector, where only 10% of the 600,000 restaurants in Mexico use digital tools. This lack of digitalization affects the operation and survival of businesses, especially SMEs that make up 95% of restaurants in the country.
