An area of low pressure associated with a tropical wave in the Atlantic Ocean has increased its probability of cyclonic development to 40% in 48 hours and to 70% in seven days.

It is located about 5,960 km east of the coast of Quintana Roo, moving west at a speed of between 24 and 32 km/h.
