Germany, Russia, Spain, Uruguay and Chile are just some of the countries that have sent their congratulations to the Morena candidate Claudia Sheinbaum.
Claudia Sheinbaum has received congratulations from various leaders abroad for her anticipated victory as the first female president of Mexico.
The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the president of the European Council, Charles Michel, congratulated Claudia Sheinbaum on Monday and expressed their desire to strengthen relations between the EU and Mexico.

The Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hadja Lahbib, whose country holds the six-month presidency of the Council of the European Union, also congratulated the Morena candidate.
