A woman from Kinchil suffered a rattlesnake attack while working in Kinchil. According to preliminary data, the woman was at a poultry company when the incident occurred.
A reptile, apparently a rattlesnake, attacked her and bit one of her feet, so she screamed for help. Her colleagues quickly came to help her and took her to the Kinchil clinic in a company vehicle.
After receiving first aid and because she needed the antidote, Red Cross paramedics took her to a hospital in Mérida.
The woman’s son was with her in the ambulance. They took the snake that attacked her so the doctors could apply the antidote.
It is the third case of a snake attack in Yucatán since July 8, when a doctor posted a similar case on social media. The first incident occurred on Monday when a man arrived at the O’Horán Hospital in Mérida after being bitten by a snake called huolpoch.
Fortunately, as he commented, the antidote was in stock. Just an hour later, another patient arrived from Peto with a rattlesnake bite on his foot.
