A worker from a solar panel company ended up in the Valladolid hospital after being bitten by a snake.
According to the report, the man was installing panels in the jungle between Libre Unión and Yaxcabá when, while grabbing a roll of cable, he was bitten on the hand by a nauyaca snake (porthidium yucatanicum) measuring approximately 15 centimeters.
Since the poison is dangerous, the worker got into the vehicle and went to the Pisté community to ask for help at the Health Center. Once there, upon identifying the type of snake that had bitten him, he was transferred by emergency ambulance to the General Hospital of Valladolid to receive more appropriate care. The worker is out of danger.
