The National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services (Condusef) indicated that, in Yucatán, in the first half of 2024, six thousand complaints have been registered for alleged bank fraud.
The representative of the Condusef in Yucatán, Alberto Pinto Escamilla, indicated that these frauds have increased because scammers send emails and messages on social networks, which deceive the banking user.
