To increase tourism from South America to Yucatán, the Yucatán Gastronomic Federation established commercial and promotional collaborations with entities in the sector in Brazil, highlighting the state products as a destination.

After concluding his tour, Carlos Guillermo Aguirre Aguilar, the Gastronomic Federation president, highlighted the positive results, underlining the new commercial and tourism opportunities for companies in Yucatan.

He specified that in the search to increase business between Yucatán and that nation, he met with the president and vice president of the Mexico-Brazil Chamber, with whom he discussed the new strengths that Yucatán has in the gastronomic and business sector.

The possibilities of establishing commercial relationships with various sectors that are rebounding in the state, such as restaurant software and services that integrate an attractive offer for expansion to other countries. were also analyzed, according to Guillermo Aguirre.

In the case of Brazil, the opportunity to generate business in an environment of legal certainty opens up for foreign companies.

During his visit to that country, Carlos Guillermo indicated that he met with the CEO of DGX Tourism, Diana Pomar, who was director of the Tourism Promotion office of Mexico in Brazil, to establish a working table and present the strengths, as well as the advantages that exist in the gastronomic industry in the state.

Guillermo stated that Yucatecan gastronomy is crucial in tourism and service activity. This factor contributes to the strengthening of the state’s economy. The Gastronomic Federation of Yucatan, he stressed, works on the promotion and development of programs that contribute to the promotion of the Yucatan destination in conjunction with the different tourist agents and operators of Brazil to increase the flow of Brazilians to the Yucatecan attractions, stated Aguirre Aguilar.
