With the addition of Tulum to its network, Copa Airlines has expanded its presence in Mexico to five destinations, offering another option to travel from Montevideo to the popular tourist destination in the Mexican Caribbean.
Copa Airlines, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings, S.A. and a member of the global airline network Star Alliance, opened its new routes to and from two new destinations in America: Tulum, Mexico, and Florianópolis, Brazil.
With the incorporation of these destinations, the airline expands its network to 85 destinations in 32 countries in Central, South, and North America, as well as the Caribbean.
Copa Airlines already connects the charming city of Tulum, located in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, with the Hub of the Americas, in Panama. This tourist destination located south of Quintana Roo between the Riviera Maya and Bacalar, on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, is famous for its wide variety of experiences.
Visitors will be able to enjoy its rich archaeological, cultural, and spiritual offerings, as well as ecotourism parks, cenotes, art, gastronomy, and natural reserves.
This new connection becomes the airline’s fifth destination in Mexico, joining Mexico City, Cancun, Guadalajara, and Monterrey.
The Copa Airlines flight to Tulum operates four times a week.
