Tourism entrepreneurs from Yucatán will present a proposal to the new governor of Yucatán, Joaquín Díaz Mena, as well as to the incoming local Congress so that the summer vacation period returns to two months, as reported by Jorge Eduardo Carrillo Sáenz, president of the Yucatán Tourism Business Council.

Let’s see if we can achieve that the summer vacation lasts all of July and August, as they were a few years ago. It is a proposal to the new governor and the federal and local legislators so that they also put it on the table with their counterparts, declared Carrillo Sáenz.

The businessman added that the modifications to vacations have affected tourism since there is less time, in addition to the fact that primary, secondary, and high school students have their holidays on different dates.
