This weekend the pre-reopening of the Palapas Park in Cancun will take place with the Corn Fair, when the sellers of the now-traditional Esquites and Marquesitas will return to this special place.

That question is one of the most frequently asked among Cancun residents since the remodeling works, so the long wait is finally ending and below we will tell you when you will be able to enjoy them again.

It should be noted that they are practically the only businesses needed for the Parque de las Palapas to technically become ‘the same as before’ since the food establishments and craft stalls have already been reinstalled in their areas.

Street businesses return to the Palapas Park in Cancun

Since this Tuesday, July 23, the elotes and esquites stands have already returned to their usual area, that is, in front of the main stage of the park.

This surprised the people who attended today, so they did not hesitate to enjoy these delicacies.

As for the other stalls, such as marquesitas, prepared pork rinds, churros, etc., they will be installed in the coming days.

First, a group of 12 stalls will return, and little by little they will continue to reinstall the rest of the businesses.

Let us remember that due to the remodeling work, the positions were moved to Tulum Avenue, in front of the Benito Juárez Municipal Palace.

Since this Tuesday, the Public Street Commerce authorities measured the spaces that will be used for street traffic, although as we mentioned previously, they will remain in the same area as before.
