On the morning of Thursday, July 25, a fire consumed a yacht in the sheltered port of Dzilam de Bravo.
According to witnesses, the boat had been in said place for five years, as it was under repair.
Witnesses reported that around 6 in the morning, some fishermen realized that the yacht (59 feet long) was on fire.
Upon seeing the magnitude of the fire, the fishermen and the person in charge of the place reported the emergency numbers by calling 911.
The first to arrive were the municipal police, who became aware of the incident. The fire department arrived and fought the fire. Videos of the yacht fire in Dzilam de Bravo went viral on social media. In the footage, viewers can see the columns of smoke and the charred vehicle.
