The Gastronomic Federation of Yucatán and its affiliated companies are prepared to receive national and foreign visitors who will tour the state during the summer holidays in search of flavor experiences in the most emblematic places, contributing to the dynamic economy of municipalities and communities.
The president of the Yucatan Gastronomic Federation, Carlos Guillermo Aguirre Aguilar, indicated that an increase of 30% to 50% is expected, especially in businesses on the coast.
He highlighted the effort with which each business prepares to offer quality attention to visitors who will get to know the Pueblos Mágicos (Magical Towns), beaches, archaeological zones, cenotes, and colonial cities that are part of the catalog of attractions that the state has.
In addition to the natural and architectural beauties, he stressed, Yucatecan gastronomy with the most recognized Yucatecan dishes is added as a great tourist value, as well as fusion dishes that are even part of the new products that the state promotes to increase the influx to municipalities and communities that provide experiences full of flavor with culture and tradition.
The business leader highlighted the importance of summer vacations to increase the influx of diners to businesses in the sector and activate the economic dynamics in the municipalities that offer culinary experiences.
In this period, he noted, it is expected that, among the places most in demand by tourists, Motul will occupy an important place because Motuleños eggs are a dish that attracts visitors to this Pueblo Mágico of Yucatan, as well as Valladolid, which it is a gastronomic center for offering a wide variety of regional stews.
The delegations of Telchac Puerto, Sisal, and Celestún are ready since they are expecting an increase in the demand for dishes made with seafood due to the contribution of species and condiments used in Yucatán, which make it unique in the country, he stated.
