A macabre discovery surprised Oxkutzcab, Yucatán after an anonymous call reported the finding of two lifeless bodies with signs of torture.
Police authorities are already investigating the crime.
The discovery occurred on the night of Tuesday, July 16, on the border between the municipalities of Oxkutzcab and Maní, where two dead bodies appeared, which had injuries made with a machete.
According to the first versions, agents of the State and Municipal Police learned of the bodies of two men around midnight in the vicinity of Oxkutzcab, whose ages were 30 and 40 years old, respectively.
Although there is little information about the crime since the case is handled with secrecy by the authorities, unofficial sources said one of the deceased was from Oxkutzcab and the other from Maní.
As of the afternoon of this Wednesday, July 17, the authorities had not yet determined the causes of the bloody crime. Investigations continue to find the perpetrator of this double murder and know how the victims got to that place.
Another version states that the deaths took place in the same place where they found the bodies. Forensic Medical Service personnel picked up the bodies and transferred them to the SEMEFO facility for the corresponding autopsy to determine the exact causes of death.
