The Mexican Delegation begins its participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in 28 different disciplines, where they seek to increase the medals achieved from the last edition by facing the best athletes in the world.

Some of the athletes are experiencing their first games, while others already have a long career, such as Alejandra Orozco, who is competing in the fourth edition of it, and Alejandra Valencia, who is looking for another medal.

From Mexico they stand out in categories such as archery, in which they compete with a full team, as well as the return of the artistic swimming team to an Olympic championship after 27 years. ‘The Mexican mermaids’ arrive with the gold medal from the World Swimming Series in Egypt that they won in May and with Nuria Diosdado, who is in her fourth edition.

How many athletes from Mexico will participate in Paris 2024 and in what sports?

A total of 104 athletes represent Mexico in the XXXIII edition of the Olympic Games in 28 of 45 disciplines.

Some such as athletics, archery and synchronized swimming arrive to participate in team, individual and couple events, while weightlifting only has one athlete, Janeth Gómez.

How many medals does Mexico expect to win at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games?

Ana Gabriela Guevara, president of the National Sports Commission (Conade), seeks to surpass the number of medals from the last Tokyo Olympic Games for Paris 2024.

The Mexican Delegation wants to reach 9 medals, this mark was imposed in the 1968 Olympic Games when they hosted that edition. However, the best edition was in London 2012 with eight medals.

Classified athletes: Which Mexicans are going to the Paris Games in 2024 and in what disciplines?

Ana Guevara, president of the National Sports Commission, is optimistic about the participation of the athletes, since they stood out in the last Pan American Games in Santiago 2023, where they achieved a historical mark of 142 medals.

Now, they arrive in Paris with 104 athletes competing in 28 disciplines, Mexico seeks to stand out on the international stage.
