To expand the offer of jobs in the municipality, on Friday, July 12th, the first stone of a new Chedraui supermarket in Kanasín was laid.
With the installation of this new self-service store, it is planned to provide 550 new jobs, whether direct or indirect.
The ceremony of laying the first stone took place next to the welcome arches at the municipal seat, where Mayor Edwin Bojórquez Ramírez led the event.
The first mayor indicated that it was a very important day for Kanasín, since the installation of this “large company”, as he described it, represents growth in the infrastructure of this town.
The construction of the supermarket involves an investment of 135 million pesos. This store will have 5,000 m2 of sales floors and 11 commercial premises, all on an area of 16,000 m2.
It is estimated to be operational by December 2025.
