Municipal Police agents assigned to surveillance at the Colonia Yucatán community captured a crocodile just over two meters long in the area.

On Friday, July 19, shortly before 2 in the afternoon, citizens alerted the police of the animal on the side of the road, which was trying to attack people passing by the site. Immediately, the agents moved to the place located about 3 kilometers from Colonia Yucatán.

Upon arrival, they captured the crocodile with the help of some volunteers, who tied it with ropes and put it on the patrol car to take it to the Morelos barracks in this city.

Until yesterday afternoon, the animal will remain at the police headquarters until they decide the fate of the reptile. However, authorities anticipated they would release it into its habitat far from the city.

In Tekax, the presence of black widow spiders in the food market alerts the tenants, who fear the insects bite.

Vendors reported the finding of four poisonous spiders in the food areas and bathrooms.

On July 19, people captured a spider in the Tekax temporary market. Merchants demand fumigation of the market since many mosquitoes, cockroaches, and other pests cause health problems.
