In the case of two men found dead on the Oxkutzcab-Maní highway, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) and the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) report that the investigations are very advanced to clarify the facts and arrest the alleged perpetrators.
Since the discovery of the bodies at the entrance to a citrus farm became known, authorities activated the corresponding security protocols. The discovery occurred on the night of Tuesday, July 16, on the border between Oxkutzcab and Maní.
State preventive and investigative police, in coordination with ministerial agents, focused on processing the crime scene and closing roads with checkpoints. Video surveillance systems monitored the movements of possible suspects. The information collected by the authorities ruled out any relationship between the crime and organized crime groups.
