On Wednesday, July 3, a serious accident occurred on 65th Street between 23rd Street in Downtown Merida, when a bus belonging to the” Va y Ven” Transportation System apparently had mechanical problems with its brakes.
The bus that corresponds to the Vergel 1 route caused severe damage, knocking down a Telmex wooden post and damaging at least 7 vehicles.
Likewise, witnesses reported that the bus was about to run over several people.
Several injured people were recorded, who suffered blows and bruises, but without serious injuries that put their lives at risk.
Paramedics arrived at the scene to treat the injured.
Meanwhile, the authorities secured the area to carry out the corresponding investigation work.
