Yucatán continues to be the safest state in Mexico

Yucatán endorsed the first position as the safest entity in the country and with the lowest crime incidence by reaching a rate of 85.93 crimes per 100 thousand inhabitants, a figure nine times lower than that registered at the national level of 809.96, indicating the state government.

According to the July report issued by the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP), Yucatán remains in first place with the lowest rate of intentional homicides, with 0.85 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, which is 11 times lower than the national one of 9.72 cases.

Likewise, the SESNSP reported that Yucatán once again ranked first in the entire country with the lowest rate of vehicle theft with 1.01 cases, an amount that is significantly lower than the national rate of 33.71 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants.

The state has second place in the Republic and reached its historical minimum of the lowest home burglary rate with 1.41 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, a figure lower than the national figure of 17.70 cases.

Yucatán was placed in second place with the lowest rate of extortion cases, with 0.04 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, which is lower than the national rate of 3.89 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants.

Regarding the category of robbery against pedestrians, the entity reached its historical minimum with a third place in the country by registering 0.60 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, a rate below the national average of 23.92 cases per every 100 thousand inhabitants.

Yucatán is the fourth place with the lowest rate of femicides, with a rate of 0.32 cases per 100 thousand women, below the national rate of 0.59 cases.

With the Yucatán Seguro strategy, the state police received equipment, technology, and training.

The state went from 2,248 surveillance cameras to 6,775 and from 100 highway arches to 219, and as part of these efforts, they created the C5i control center. The Police Academy will become the Police University.
