In August, the lateral works of the Mérida Periférico would conclude.

According to official information from the State government, the works will be a little more than 17 kilometers.

It was mentioned that these works are progressing according to the scheduled time, so they will be completed next month.

The government recalled that on April 2, works began with 19 sections, of which 1,060 kilometers correspond to the inner body and 8,2 km correspond to the outer body of the road.

The second part began in June with 13 sections, which total 7.9 kilometers and are located inside the main artery.

Regarding the investment in these works, it was reported that the figure reached 131 million pesos.

The main objective of these works, explained by the state government, is the connection of several neighborhoods and the relief of the central lanes of the Periférico.

In addition, it will increase the security of those who wish to access the neighborhoods that are right next to the Periférico, without slowing the central roads.

As an extra, in these works the most critical kilometers of the Mérida Periférico are being repaved, just as was done last year, when the section of the low-speed lane was attended to, between the exits to the Los Héroes subdivision and the city of Kanasin.
