A child died in a hospital after a gate weighing more than half a ton fell on him while he was walking on Isla de Tris Avenue in the Aeropuerto neighborhood in Ciudad del Carmen.
According to unofficial information, the incident occurred around 4:25 p.m. on August 14, when the little boy was walking along said avenue, where they were building a house.
Suddenly, the gate fell on top of the minor, who suffered injuries such as head trauma and fractures in both legs.
Witnesses to the incident notified the authorities, and police officers showed up and marked the area, waiting for an ambulance. They used a bulldozer to lift the heavy gate and get the child out. A Red Cross ambulance transported the child, but he died upon arriving at the hospital.
