At 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, a flight left Merida for Mexico City in which agents of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic transferred a major organized crime criminal from Merida to CDMX.
The operation was carried out by personnel from the Mexican Navy and two special groups of the FGR on Sunday, August 18th.
According to the news site Estamos Aqui , the subject arrested in Mérida, Yucatán was the Plaza Chief in Colima of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel, he was identified as Aldrin M. Jarquín J., alias El Chaparrito
Jarquín Jarquín served as the leader of the CJNG in the port of Manzanillo, Colima, where he controlled the introduction of drugs and chemical precursors for the production of methamphetamines and other synthetic drugs.
The Regional Plaza Chief was arrested in Zapopan, Jalisco on March 13, 2022, but a judge ordered his release on June 4 under the summons to appear at the arraignment hearing on the charge of organized crime, but he never did so and fled towards Yucatán.
After being removed from justice, the FGR intelligence groups managed to locate him two years later in the north of Mérida, where he had a residence in an uptown neighborhood, where he was arrested by a search warrant and without the federal agents firing a single shot.
It was investigated that El “Chaparrito”, along with his brother José de Jesús Jarquín Jarquín, “El R32”, as well as César Enrique Díaz De León Sauceda, “El Lobito”, and Fernando Zagal Antón, also alleged members of the CJNG, were included in the blacklist of the United States Department of the Treasury.
According to intelligence information provided by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the detainee is among the highest-ranking members of the criminal organization.
Even his bank accounts were blocked by the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF).

Aldrin Miguel Jarquín Jarquín was born on November 18, 1976. He is a native of the municipality of Nezahualcóyotl, in the State of Mexico, and was identified by federal authorities as one of the main generators of violence in the Mexican state of Colima.
