Formal Employment Figures on the rise in Yucatan

Formal employment in Yucatan: 433,576 workers registered before the IMSS in July

In Yucatan, the number of insured workers is growing, according to the report of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) which shows a total of 433,576 affiliates last July, which translates into an annual growth of 2.6% compared to the same month last year, higher than the national figure of 2%, it is indicated in a statement.

These figures show that since May 2021, Yucatan has accumulated a total of 39 consecutive months of annual growth in the number of workers affiliated with the institute.

In addition, the report details that during the current administration, 64,036 new jobs have been generated, placing the entity in the top 10 places in the entire country with the highest job creation in the period analyzed, and, in each month, 915 jobs have been generated.

Likewise, 10,911 new jobs were created in the period between July 2023 and 2024, placing the state among the top 14 places in all of Mexico in this area.

These figures are the result of the national and international promotion of Yucatan, which has attracted more than 401 investment projects in sectors such as information technology, aerospace, real estate, agro-industry, construction, and logistics, among others with internationally renowned brands such as Accenture, Airbus, Heineken, Uchiyama, Woodgenix, Preh and more.
