This week, Progreso received the cruise ship Grandeur of the Seas, from the Royal Caribbean shipping company, which arrived directly from Tampa, Florida.
According to official information from the National Port System Administration (Asipona) of Progreso, the ship arrived at 6:45 in the morning and set sail at 4 in the afternoon, bound for the island of Cozumel, where the tourists will continue their tour.
The ship, which made its second arrival in Yucatecan territory, brought 2,356 passengers and 776 crew members, for a total of 3,232 visitors.
The passengers enjoyed a pleasant and warm day, mainly in the area of the traditional boardwalk, where nearly 600 cruise passengers arrived and were distributed along said space.
The day was quite profitable for the areas of street vendors and artisans, as well as service providers, furniture rental companies, masseurs, and waiters.
