To continue boosting the economy of Tekax, Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal inaugurated the new Municipal Gastronomic and Artisanal Market “San Diego de Alcalá” the 5th in the entire State, which will serve different regions.
On a working tour of Tekax, Vila Dosal and the host mayor, Flora Margarita Peraza Campos, toured the new Supply Center that was built in conjunction with the local City Council and will meet one of the largest demands that past administrations have postponed for several years, through an investment of 61.5 million pesos and benefiting 30,000 people directly and 200,000 indirectly.
The plan considers a body divided according to its use into two levels, the ground floor as a municipal market and the upper floor as a tourist market. It will have 152 modules of premises and 4 of municipal services; private administration area; public bathrooms; service area: an air-conditioned butcher and food area, machine room, measurement center, warehouses, loading and unloading area; garbage dump; covered outdoor walkways; circulation core with stairs and elevator; as well as a water treatment plant.
During the inauguration of the Center, Vila Dosal highlighted that the opening of this space marks the decentralization of the drive to entrepreneurs that, until now, was only offered in Mérida, so, from now on, entrepreneurs from this region will have workshops and training courses in management skills, finance and marketing, image consulting and advice for companies and products, legal and intellectual property advice, to be able to make their business idea a reality, and thereby contribute to the economic growth of their communities, improving the quality of life of their inhabitants.
In this regard, the director of the Yucatecan Institute of Entrepreneurs (IYEM), Antonio González Blanco, explained that this center is part of the 5 installed throughout the State to provide advice and support to those who wish to start or have micro-enterprises.
To date, there are 5 centers established in Mérida, Valladolid, Maxcanú, Tekax and Izamal. 85,291 people have been served in them, with a total of 2,602 hours of specialized advice and 1,713 training activities, including workshops and training courses.
The opening of this new State Center for Entrepreneurs complements the efforts of the Vila Dosal Government, which has as a priority to generate more, better-paid jobs, especially in the interior of the State, not only through attracting investments to Yucatán, but also by promoting entrepreneurship among Yucatecans, supporting the projects and ideas of its own inhabitants.
The State Center for Entrepreneurs of the Southern Region is located within the Regional Technological University of the South and was created to guide entrepreneurs and businessmen to consolidate their business ideas or companies to add value to them with structured and defined processes, as well as with trained personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary for each activity.
Here, entrepreneurs from the city of Tekax and municipalities in the southern area of the State of Yucatan, which includes: Ticul, Akil, Chapab, Chumayel, Dzan, Mama, Maní, Mayapán, Muna, Oxkutzcab, Sacalum, Santa Elena, Teabo, Tekit, Tixméhuac and Tzucacab, will be served.
