The lighting of the fire and the cutting of the inaugural ribbon of the traditional expo fair will take place on August 14th.
On Thursday, August 15, the activities of the San Joaquín Bacalar Expofair 2024 begin, with the arrival of the pilgrim torchbearers, from 8:00 in the morning to the San Joaquín Church, in the Magical Town of Bacalar.
According to the official program of the San Joaquín Bacalar Expofair 2024, this Thursday, the torchbearers from San Joaquín, Belize, will arrive at the Fairgrounds, approximately at 6:00 in the afternoon, and an hour later, the lighting of the cauldron and the cutting of the inaugural ribbon of the traditional expo fair will take place.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the authorities will tour the various areas of the fairgrounds, and at 8:30 p.m. the young Milagros Koyoc will be crowned as the Queen of Expoferia San Joaquín Bacalar 2024, to continue with the presentation of the Danzonera de Bacalar and close with the popular opening dance with the Sonora Santanera and María Fernanda, starting at 10:00 p.m.
The next day, Friday the 16th, the inauguration of the agricultural-livestock expo will take place, at 10:00 a.m. sharp, and the authorities will tour the place, as well as the exhibition of agricultural machinery, and begin with the stallion contest, approximately at 2:00 p.m.
Friday night activities, on the main stage of the Fairgrounds, begin at 8:00 p.m., with the performance of the Folkloric Ballet “Nuestras Raíces” from the municipality of José María Morelos.
