Municipal police arrest a couple for illegal graffiti in downtown Mérida

Agents of the Municipal Police of Mérida arrested Alejandro J.E.R. and Fabiana M.B. for making graffiti. They pasted stickers in the La Gran Puntada store on 59th Street between 58th and 56th Streets in downtown Merida.

The couple’s actions violated the Police and Good Government Regulations regarding Civic Justice of the Municipality of Mérida.

The police were carrying out their surveillance work when they noticed the couple painting graffiti on one of the walls of the business.

For this reason, they were arrested and transferred to the municipal jail at the disposal of the Civic Qualifying Judge.

As a result of a public hearing, the judge ruled as a sanction to repair the damage.

For this reason, Alejandro J.E.R. and Fabiana M.B. were taken to 59th Street between 58th and 56th to repair the damage caused, that is, to clean the wall, under the supervision of the police.
