On Saturday, August 17, Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal inaugurated the reconstruction work of the highway section between Río Lagartos and Las Coloradas, which guarantees faster and safer transportation for residents and visitors to this area.
After spending the night in Tizimín and as part of his farewell tour of Yucatán, the Governor delivered more than 19 kilometers of roads in this area with an investment of more than 56.3 million pesos. He also opened the rehabilitation work of the Río Lagartos Health Center, which already has free ultrasound services, clinical analysis, dental service, and psychological care.
Together with the mayor of Río Lagartos, Floricely Del Carmen Alcocer Marfil, and the general director and president of the Board of Grupo Industrial Roche, José Palomeque Roche, Vila Dosal cut the inaugural ribbon of this new section, which the government built in conjunction with the salt industry, and which strengthens the tourist vocation of this area of Yucatán.
In this regard, the Governor reiterated his gratitude to the residents, who gave him their trust to work together and make Yucatán the best of times, with more opportunities for economic development and attraction of tourists with which the residents have found more and better income alternatives for them and their families.
