The Governor-elect of Yucatan, Joaquin Diaz Mena, visited the Xmatkuil fairgrounds to verify its condition and plan various remodeling and maintenance works that will improve the attention of visitors and enhance the pride of our Fair in the framework of its 50th anniversary.
Diaz Mena stated that these works, which will begin shortly, will be ready promptly before its opening date next November; “Yucatecans are proud of our fair and this is the 50th anniversary of its foundation; it has to be a Fair in keeping with its Golden Anniversary,” he said.
The Governor-elect shared that work is already underway on planning various events that will dress up the celebration; a few days ago he held a meeting with the MVZ, Manuel Medina Castro, President of the Association of Registered Cattle Breeders of the State of Yucatan, A.C. and derived from it, it was also agreed to begin the organization of two national livestock exhibitions in Nelore and Guzerat, to strengthen the livestock identity of our fair.
